First impressions
I visited Floral Fantasy on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately greeted by the sweet scent of flowers and a plethora of bright colours. The space was well decorated with life-sized intricate displays of Disney characters closely resembling the actual cartoon characters. The enchanting journey starts with Sailor Mickey from the movie ‘Steamboat Willie’ steering a wheel. Next to the wheel, there is a filmstrip showcasing all the Disney characters featured throughout Floral Fantasy. It was fairly early in the afternoon, and the crowd started to swell as more visitors walked in.

The execution
The entire walk-through was captivating. Colourful flowers were filled in every area of Floral Fantasy, and it felt like the Disney characters came to life. Nostalgia rushed through my veins as I witnessed some of my favourite childhood characters, reminding me of the days when I would spend hours watching Disney movies on television when I was a kid. There is also a good selection of characters from each movie, including fan favourites like Woody from Toy Story and Sully from Monsters, Inc. Without doubt, the ambience was immersive and lively as the respective soundtracks from the movies played throughout the attraction, bringing the magic of Disney to life.

A magical gift store with all Disney merchandise awaits at the end of the attraction! Ranging from plushies to shirts, the gift store has everything for people of all ages, making these items perfect gifts for your loved ones. There are also three Disney themed photo booths towards the exit in the gift shop priced at $10 per two strips. The frames are the same across all three, but the backdrops inside the booth are different.
My experience
The displays are perfect for photo spots and I spent over two hours taking pictures with some of my favorite characters. The entire area is air-conditioned, making the afternoon sun shining through the glass panels even more bewitching and kept me cool throughout my walk-in. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Dug and Kevin from Up as I would have expected only the main characters Carl and Russel. Kevin was particularly detailed as the structure was around 6 feet tall, which is taller than other character displays as in the movie Up, Kevin’s height is 13 feet as stated by Disney.

The displays for characters from each movie are also well spaced out, allowing visitors to have ample room to take pictures without feeling overcrowded. I have to give credit to the event space as all character displays were well spaced out, allowing visitors to have ample room to take pictures without feeling overcrowded. However, the pathway can be crowded at times when there is heavy foot fall so it will be squeezy to pass through. A tip to get the perfect shot is to carefully time your photos taken when the crowd disperses to prevent photobombers!
The staff were also very friendly and helpful in taking pictures for visitors which further enhanced the experience. I ended the trip with a visit to the photo booth at the giftshop. There is a wide variety of frames to choose from and I picked a Winnie-the-Pooh frame.
Overall verdict
Disney Garden of Wonder is definitely worth the visit, the displays are well designed and detailed paired along with the interactive elements such as the flower arrangements moving up and down. The entire attraction is also filled with the sweet scent of different flowers which further adds to the Disney aspect of a magical experience. If you enjoy a chill and peaceful outing to take pictures and spend time with your family or friends, then Disney Garden of Wonder is for you!
