The Final Reckoning… or Just Another Mission
Get ready to choose to accept the mission, one last time – or not…
Tom Cruise, still defying age and gravity, returns in what’s being hailed as the most explosive installment yet of the legendary action franchise. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is hitting theatres on 17 May 2025.

It follows up on the chaos from Dead Reckoning – Part One. It’s rumoured to be called the “final” chapter, looking at Hollywood’s history of finales, we’ll believe it when we see it.
But what’s so different about this one? Firstly, it’s wrapping up almost three decades of action, spy gadgets and impossible stunts that somehow Cruise never fails to do. The man at the ripe age of 62 is still hanging off planes and jumping off cliffs like it’s a casual Tuesday. Apparently, he jumped off a plane WITHOUT a parachute this time… I don’t think we will ever get tired of Cruise.
The usual crew is back with the same director Christopher McQuarrie still running the show. Production hit a huge pause due to COVID-19 and strikes, but filming eventually continued.

Plot details? Super secret, as always. But it’s safe to assume there’ll be running, explosions, betrayal, and maybe a couple of “your mission, should you choose to accept it” moments.
Whether or not this is the end of Ethan Hunt, it is the end of an era. Mission: Impossible has been around since 1996 – older than most of us, seeing it wrap up is kind of wild.
This one’s probably worth watching… since it is THE final reckoning.
