The annual racial celebration is around the corner! Racial Harmony Day (RHD) is an occasion to appreciate the melting pot of cultures in Singapore. Here are some events to look forward to this Racial Harmony season, where you can dress up in ethnic costumes, enjoy food and traditional activities from various cultures.

1. Let’s Embrace — Celebrating Harmony
Catch performances by Taufik Batisah, Suthasini, Elvin Ng and Daryl Ann at Our Tampines Hub this festive season. Along with that, there will be activities organised by the National Heritage Board, expect to take part in insightful talks and workshops.
The exhibitions and talks explore the cultures in Singapore, organised in collaboration with Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Malay Heritage Centre and Indian Heritage Centre, etc.

2. RHD events in your neighbourhood

Worried about travelling time and distance away from home? Fret not, there are activities prepared for you right in your neighbourhood. This year, the People’s Association is organising several community-based events to celebrate RHD.
From now until 28 July, look forward to happenings in the heartlands including MacPherson, Katong, Woodlands, and more. One of which is ‘A Kampung Spirit’ at Limbang Shopping Centre on 20 July, where you can expect food, games and performances.
Another highlight is the ‘Punggol West Racial Harmony 2024’ on 27 July. Get your hands busy with some crafting workshops like henna art and a friendship band workshop. Time to bond with your loved ones through these activities!
