Trouble for Live Turtle and Tortoise Museum
“Your visitation is very important to us, please come down.” said Connie Tan, owner of the Live Turtle & Tortoise Museum. Some of you may have seen this video where Ms Tan shares the worries and challenges the museum faces.
The museum is currently located in Lorong Chencharu, where Orto leisure park used to operate. The land is currently going through redevelopment which is causing the museum to face struggles. Apart from the lower footfall, most visitors assume that the museum is no longer operating as the surroundings looked deserted and abandoned.

One Tiktok user commented, “I went there twice but was under the impression you guys are not operating anymore.”
Ms Tan opened the museum with her late father in 2001. In an article with The Straits Times, she shared that the museum aimed to give children a chance to learn about the different species of turtles and tortoises.
